Dubultu Rakstnieku nams ir vecākā rakstnieku rezidence Latvijā. Tā atrodas kūrorta centrā – gleznainā un leģendām apvītā vietā – blakus celiņam, pa kuru izcilā latviešu dzejniece Aspazija ik dienu gājusi pastaigās gar jūras krastu, smeļoties iedvesmu saviem darbiem. Dubultu Rakstnieku nams ir klusa un komfortabla rezidence.
Strādājošo rīcībā ir atsevišķi vienistabas un divistabu numuri ar visām ērtībām un bezmaksas Wi-Fi. Mājas virtuve aprīkota ar ledusskapjiem, veļas mazgājamajām mašīnām un visu nepieciešamo inventāru ēdiena gatavošanai. Šī ir ideāla vieta radošam darbam, pastaigām gar jūras krastu un izbraukumiem ar velosipēdu. Savu auto iespējams novietot rezidences pagalmā aiz nolaižamās barjeras. Pēdējo gadu laikā ēkā ir veikti remontdarbi un daļēja inventāra nomaiņa, kas uzlabo rezidentu komforta līmeni un sadzīves apstākļus.
2026. gadā LRS piedāvā rezidences LRS biedriem (dzejnieki, prozaiķi, dramaturgi, kritiķi, literatūrpētnieki, tulkotāji, atdzejotāji), kā arī visu to rakstošo profesiju autoriem, kuri savu darbu veic “klusajā režīmā”(mākslas zinātnieki, kuratori, dažādu nozaru kritiķi, scenāristi, muzikologi, komponisti u. c.).
2026. gadā Dubultu Rakstnieku nams būs atvērts no 13. aprīļa līdz 15. oktobrim. Pieteikšanās uz rezidencēm ir atvērta līdz 2026. gada 28. februārim. Pēc šī datuma LRS nevar garantēt darba iespējas rezidencēs. Pieteikšanās notiek, rakstot uz e-pastu: dubulturezidencelrs@gmail.com
2026.gada rezidēšanas iespējas:
1. 2026. gadā Dubultu Rakstnieku namā iespējams uzturēties par saviem līdzekļiem, atbilstoši Latvijas Rakstnieku savienības noteiktajiem tarifiem. 2. 2026. gadā Dubultu Rakstnieku namā iespējams uzturēties arī ar Jūrmalas valstspilsētas radošajām stipendijām. Dzīvošana un atskaitīšanās par paveikto šajā gadījumā notiek saskaņā ar Jūrmalas pilsētas domes noteikto kārtību un stipendijas nolikumu. 3 2026. gadā Dubultu Rakstnieku namā iespējams uzturēties VKKF mēŗkprogrammas ietvaros.
Noteikumi:
1. Pieteikšanās notiek, rakstot uz e-pastu: dubulturezidencelrs@gmail.com līdz 28. februārim.
2. Pretendentiem ir jāsniedz īsa un iespējami kodolīga rezidences darba iecere (līdz 1000 zīmēm). Tajā jānorāda plānotā darba pamatvērtības: žanrs, neliels apraksts, nosaukums, ja tāds ir, cita būtiska informācija. (Lūdzu šo uztvert ļoti nopietni, jūsu pieteikums tiek pievienots VKKF atskaitei.)
3. Jānorāda vēlamais rezidences gadalaiks (rezidences ilgums ir 28 kalendārās dienas).
4. Pieteikumu izvērtēšanu veiks LRS administrācija laikā no 1. marta līdz 31. martam.
5. Par apstiprināto rezidenci pretendenti tiks informēti individuāli laikā no 1. aprīļa līdz 10.aprīlim, prioritāri apziņojot autorus, kuri vēlēsies uzsākt darbu iespējami ātrāk, jeb rezidēšanas hronoloģiskā secībā.
6. Rezidenci sākot, jānoslēdz līgums ar LRS par darbu rezidencē.
7. Rezidencē jāievēro iekšējās kārtības noteikumi, ar kuriem rezidents tiek iepazīstināts pirms rezidences sākšanas.
8. Rezidences laikā tiks piedāvāta iespēja tikties ar Sociālās integrācijas valsts aģentūras (turpmāk – SIVA) rehabilitācijas centra bibliotēkas lasītajiem, par laiku un datumu vienojoties ar LRS un SIVA atbildīgo personu.
9. Rezidences laikā tiks piedāvāta iespēja tikties ar lasītājiem Jūrmalas muzeja “Aspazijas mājas”, par laiku un datumu vienojoties ar LRS un muzeja atbildīgo personu.
10. Dienas nauda tiek izmaksāta 5 darba dienu laikā pēc rezidences sākšanas.
11. Rezidenci noslēdzot, rezidents paraksta apliecinājumu, ka attiecīgajā laikā uzturējies rezidencē, ko LRS pievieno atskaitei VKKF par projekta īstenošanu.
12. Rezidenci noslēdzot, rezidents iesniedz pārskatu par savu darbu rezidencē (apmēram 1000 zīmes), kurā īsi un kodolīgi informē par paveikto, ko LRS pievieno atskaitei VKKF par projekta īstenošanu.
Projekts nodrošina autoru uzturēšanos Dubultu Rakstnieku namā 28 kalendāro dienu gadā, maksājot rezidentiem dienasnaudu 224,00 eiro. Pieteikumi tiks izvērtēti konkursa kārtībā, tos izskatīs LRS Dubultu Rakstnieku namā izveidota komisija no LRS valdes locekļiem un Dubultu Rakstnieku namā administrācijas. Konkursā netiks izskatītas kandidatūras, kas nav nomaksājušas LRS biedra naudas parādu. Lūdzu ņemt vērā, ka šis ir starpnozaru projekts, tā ietvaros LRS piedāvā rezidences LRS biedriem (dzejnieki, prozaiķi, dramaturgi, kritiķi, literatūrpētnieki, tulkotāji, atdzejotāji), kā arī to rakstošo profesiju autoriem, kuri savu darbu veic “klusajā režīmā” (mākslas zinātnieki, kuratori, dažādu nozaru kritiķi, scenāristi, dramaturgi, muzikologi, komponisti u.c.)
Lūdzam ņemt vērā to, ka gribētāju strādāt Dubultos ir vairāk nekā iespēju rezidentus uzņemt. Tādā situācijā var gadīties, ka ne vienmēr varēsim nodrošināt rezidenta īpašās vēlmes pēc konkrēta numuriņa un uzturēšanās laika, tomēr iespēju robežas mēģināsim šos lūgumus apmierināt.
Dubulti Writers’ Residence
Dubulti Writers’ Residence is the oldest writers’ residence in Latvia. It is located in the centre of the Jūrmala resort – in a picturesque and legendary area – next to the path along which the great Latvian poet Aspazija used to walk to the sea every day, drawing inspiration for her work.
Dubulti Writers’ Residence is a quiet and comfortable place. Residents have separate one-room and two-room apartments with all amenities and free Wi-Fi. The residence has a kitchen equipped with refrigerators, washing machines and all the necessary appliances for cooking.
This is an ideal spot for creative work, walks along the seashore and bike rides. You can park your car in the residence’s courtyard behind a drop-down barrier.
Recently, the building has been renovated and partially refurbished thus improving the comfort and living conditions of residents.
In 2026, the Latvian Writers’ Union (LWU) offers lodging to its members (poets, prose writers, playwrights, critics, literary scholars, translators of prose and poetry), as well as to authors of all writing professions who carry out their work in “quiet mode” (art scholars, curators, critics of various fields, screenwriters, musicologists, composers, etc.).
In 2026, Dubulti Writers’ Residence will be open from April 13 to October 15. Applications for the apartments are open until February 28, 2026. After this date, the LWU cannot guarantee work opportunities in the residence.

In this case, staying and reporting on the work completed during the stay at Dubulti Writers’ Residence takes place according to the procedure established by the Jūrmala City Council and the scholarship regulations. Applications for these openings are decided by tender; they are reviewed by the LWU administration. Candidates who have not paid off the LWU membership fee debt are not considered in competitions.
Applications for the residence apartments are open until February 28, 2026.
3. Work in residences with the support of the State Culture Capital Foundation (SCCF) target program.
1. Applications are submitted by email to: dubulturezidencelrs@gmail.com by February 28.
2. Applicants must provide a summary of the residency work plan (up to 1000 characters). It should indicate the basic values of the intended idea: genre, a short description, title, if any, and other relevant information. (Please take this very seriously; your application will be added to the SCCF report.)
3. The desired season of the residency must be indicated (the duration of the residency is 28 calendar days).
4. The LWU administration will evaluate applications from March 1 to March 31.
5. Applicants will be informed individually about the approved residency from April 1 to April 10, with priority given to authors who wish to start work as soon as possible, or in chronological order of residency.
6. At the beginning of the residency, a contract must be concluded with the LWU for work in the residency.
7. Residents must comply with the internal regulations, which are introduced to them before their stay at the residence.
8. During their stay, the residents are offered an opportunity to meet the Social Integration State Agency (SIVA) Rehabilitation Centre library readers by separate time and date arrangement with the LWU and SIVA responsible person.
9. During the residency, the residents are offered an opportunity to meet the readers of the Jūrmala Museum “Aspazijas mājas”; the time and date will be agreed with the LWU and the responsible person of the museum.
10. Daily allowance is paid within 5 working days after the start of the residency.
11. Upon concluding the residence time, the resident signs a certificate that they stayed in the residence during the relevant period; the certificate is attached to the report to the SCCF on the implementation of the project.
12. Upon completion of the residency, the resident submits a resume on their work in the residency (approximately 1000 characters), in which they summarise the work done; the resume is added to the report to the SCCF on the implementation of the project.
The project ensures authors’ stay at Dubulti Writers’ House for 28 calendar days a year, paying residents a daily allowance of 224.00 euros. Applications will be reviewed competitively by a commission established at Dubulti Writers’ House consisting of the board members of the LWU and the administration of Dubulti Writers’ House. Applications from candidates who have not paid the LRS membership fee will not be considered in the competition. Please note that this is an interdisciplinary project, within its framework, the LWU offers residencies to its members (poets, prose writers, playwrights, critics, literary scholars, translators, retellings), as well as to authors of those writing professions who carry out their work in a “quiet mode” (art scholars, curators, critics of various fields, screenwriters, playwrights, musicologists, composers, etc.)
PRICE LIST, PRICE POLICY
In 2026, Dubulti Writers’ Residence will be open from April 13 to October 15. The costs of apartments
vary according to their size, location and number of rooms (one or two rooms). The rooms have all the
amenities, a refrigerator and a kettle. On the 1st floor of the residence building, there is a shared kitchen
with refrigerators, a washing machine, an electric stove, and necessary kitchen utensils, while on the
second floor there is a terrace available to everyone. There is a possibility to park a car. The
accommodation fee for Jūrmala City scholarship holders and participants of the SCCF residency target
program is covered by the LWU from the funding obtained in the relevant projects.
