New competition for publishing Latvian original literary works abroad is open!
The Latvian Writers’ Union is announcing an OPEN CALL for applications for foreign publishers offering an opportunity to receive a grant for publishing and promoting Latvian literature abroad.
Grant program is financed by State Culture Capital Foundation (Valsts kultūrkapitāla fonds) and The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
We invite legal persons/publishers that have experience working with Latvian authors or have interest in publishing Latvian literature to take part in the grant competition.
The deadline for applications is October 5th, 2018 (23:59 East European time). Only online submissions are accepted.
The projects that receive financial support through the program have to be finally completed by December 2018.
The submitted projects will be evaluated by a jury of experts. The projects receiving financial support will be announced after October 20st, 2018.

The next grant competition for foreign publishers publishing Latvian literature abroad will be scheduled in 2019.
